Tea Party, Sale & Tea Set Giveaway

Posted in Giveaways, Tea Sets, Uncategorized at 4:44 pm by myfancyprincess

For as long as I can remember I wanted to have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. When I got pregnant with my first child I was so excited and I wanted it to be a girl so badly! I even started buying pink things. Well as fate would have it, my first born was a boy and he became the light of my life and I forgot that I wanted a girl so badly, my life revolved around my little boy.

On my second pregnancy, the doctor confirmed again another boy. Yet again, I forgot that I wanted a girl. I enjoyed my little boy and was happy that my older son had a brother.

Then came my third pregnancy. I was expecting the sonogram technician to confirm my third boy. My heart was racing so much in anticipation and wonder that my little one was practically jumping in my tummy with the technician saying that she could hardly get measurements because the baby was moving too much (due to my inner excitement about finding out what the sex was even though I really was expecting another boy)….”Do you want to know the sex of the baby?”, and I of course said “YES!” She then confirmed, “It’s a girl.” “What really?” I said, “Can you please double check?” Then she showed me proof…won’t go there, but I was so excited! I was finally having a little girl.

That little girl just like her brothers became the center of my world, and I surrounded myself in everything pink for her. I dreamt of a little girl playing with her dolls, dressing up and of course having tea parties with her. She is now seven years old and doesn’t dress up much anymore (she can be pretty elaborate in her dress up and accessories still) but we do still make time for tea parties. Sometimes our tea parties are very casual, just sharing a cup of tea with milk and cookies together at the dining room table, but one time recently, she brought out one of her child tea sets and set out to have an all out Tea Party with little sandwiches and everything.

I made some tea and milk and some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which I cut the crust off of and then cut into smaller squares. I arranged them on the little porcelain tray that was included in her set and we sat down together and had our tea party. We chatted about girl stuff and had so much fun. It is one that will stay in my memory forever.

Hi! Tea sets are such a delightful way to celebrate and create memories with a special young girl! My niece and I have a wonderful relationship and our most fun tea party was in my mom’s/her grandmother’s Canna Flower Garden!
My mom had so many beautiful flower beds, but none captured our imagination like the huge bed of 6-7 feet tall Canna flowers!!!!! Red, orange,
yellow, bi-color and tri-color huge flowers heads floated like towers. My niece and I found the center of the garden and we had our unforgettable tea party in our mom/grandmother’s garden. All of the tea sets are lovely, but my favorite is the “Chelsea Flowers” Set. Please enter my name in your fabulous
prize giveaway drawing. Many thanks, Cindi

I posted this on FB, but thought I would add it here as well – Thanks

I have 2 girls. They are 7 & 4. One of our favorite things to do is have a tea party. After my son is down for a nap or bed for the night & my husband is at work, the girls go & get dressed in a fancy outfit, hat & jewels. I make a pot of tea & put it in my fancy tea pot. I get out the good china, sugar bowl & creamer. I set out a few snacks & we have a tea party. It is a special time for us to talk – I hope they always remember them!

My story sounds alot like yours. I have three children and I finally got my little girl. Don’t get me wrong I love my boys but there is nothing like having a little angel. I have made it a tradition to buy her tea sets every year for Chrstmas and when she gets old enough we will start having tea parties. I can’t wait to spend these moments with her.

What I love about your tea sets is that you have such an assortment of them and you can buy them according to their age, likes etc. Right now the next set I would LOVE to get her is the Little Sprout Tea Set – Mud Pie.

I am keeping my fingers crossed, I don’t ever win at drawings, maybe this will be my chance :)

the whimsical butterflies set is my favorite. my daughter and i often have tea parties with mini cookies and sweet tarts – the tea is usually apple juice. but i have to say that the most fun i have is when my 9 year old daughter gets out the tea set for one of her friends and they play…most of her friends have never had a tea set, let alone played with one. my daughter has 4! 2 are collector items though that are for ’show’ only – they were handed down from her Great Grandmother and Great Great Grand Mother! She love butterflies!
