Tea Party, Sale & Tea Set Giveaway

For as long as I can remember I wanted to have 4 kids, 2 boys and 2 girls. When I got pregnant with my first child I was so excited and I wanted it to be a girl so badly! I even started buying pink things. Well as fate would have it, my first born was a boy and he became the light of my life and I forgot that I wanted a girl so badly, my life revolved around my little boy.
On my second pregnancy, the doctor confirmed again another boy. Yet again, I forgot that I wanted a girl. I enjoyed my little boy and was happy that my older son had a brother.
Then came my third pregnancy. I was expecting the sonogram technician to confirm my third boy. My heart was racing so much in anticipation and wonder that my little one was practically jumping in my tummy with the technician saying that she could hardly get measurements because the baby was moving too much (due to my inner excitement about finding out what the sex was even though I really was expecting another boy)….”Do you want to know the sex of the baby?”, and I of course said “YES!” She then confirmed, “It’s a girl.” “What really?” I said, “Can you please double check?” Then she showed me proof…won’t go there, but I was so excited! I was finally having a little girl.

That little girl just like her brothers became the center of my world, and I surrounded myself in everything pink for her. I dreamt of a little girl playing with her dolls, dressing up and of course having tea parties with her. She is now seven years old and doesn’t dress up much anymore (she can be pretty elaborate in her dress up and accessories still) but we do still make time for tea parties. Sometimes our tea parties are very casual, just sharing a cup of tea with milk and cookies together at the dining room table, but one time recently, she brought out one of her child tea sets and set out to have an all out Tea Party with little sandwiches and everything.
I made some tea and milk and some peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which I cut the crust off of and then cut into smaller squares. I arranged them on the little porcelain tray that was included in her set and we sat down together and had our tea party. We chatted about girl stuff and had so much fun. It is one that will stay in my memory forever.
